Tour Description

Stunning landscapes, historic landmarks, and Native American culture await Grand Canyon sightseeing tours with the combination airplane, helicopter, boat, and motorcoach excursion. A fully-loaded adventure, the Grand Canyon sightseeing tours is a convenient and memorable half-day outing. The trip to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon begins with a Grand Canyon airplane tour equipped with panoramic windows, which offer unobstructed views of such landmarks as Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, the Western Hemisphere’s largest manmade body of water.

Tour Highlights

  • Panoramic views and photo opportunities
  • Airplane flight to the Grand Canyon
  • Hoover Dam
  • Lake Mead Area
  • West Rim of the Grand Canyon
  • Hualapai Indian Reservation
  • Helicopter ride from the Rim to the banks of the Colorado River
  • Pontoon float trip down the Colorado River
  • Eagle Point
  • Indian Village
  • Hualapai Ranch
  • Guano Point

The aircraft lands at the Grand Canyon on the Hualapai Indian Reservation, home of the Indian Village and Hualapai Ranch. Passengers then transfer to a helicopter for the 4,000-foot descent into the majestic canyon, landing along the banks of the Colorado River, which is exclusive to Grand Canyon helicopter tours. Cameras and binoculars are a definite plus for each leg of Grand Canyon sightseeing excursions. Creatures of the Southwest, such as Big Horn Sheep and American Bald Eagles, are frequent sights.

On the river, guests board a pontoon boat for a float trip down the historic Colorado River, the life-sustaining water source for a parched desert region. The River, historically prone to flooding, now handles drainage for 242,000 square miles in the United States and 2,000 square miles in Mexico.

Skywalk Tour (Optional*)

At the dock, visitors are airlifted by helicopter to the West Rim Airport where a waiting Grand Canyon bus tour transports them to Eagle and Guano points, both of which offer breathtaking sightseeing viewpoints of the Grand Canyon. There, a light lunch will be served, giving visitors time to snap photos, browse through the Indian Village, and enjoy the spectacular changing colors of the Canyon. The lunch break also provides an opportunity to take a skywalk tour, a transparent walkway jutting out over the Canyon.

*There will be an additional fee to be paid at the Skywalk Bridge if you would like to experience the West Rim's Skywalk.
