GrandCanyonFunTrips.com is operated by Las Vegas locals. We often joke with each other about the amount of friends and family that spring out of the wood-work when they hear "so and so moved to Vegas". Nothing like being "Voluntold" to manage entertainment and activities for every group of friends that swings through town to make you an expert. It also gives one a keen eye for spotting great deals through the typical Vegas "smoke & mirrors". Our blog chronicles our adventures, misadventures, and generally serves to lift the veil on Las Vegas! Interested yet, then [Keep Reading] !!

Million of visitors annually flock to the Grand Canyon where they are awestruck by the magnificent gorge created by time and erosion. Sightseers can tour the national park via air and motorcoach, and by off-road vehicles that provide an adventurous experience exploring remote areas of the Canyon.
Guests are picked up at their Las Vegas hotels in comfortable Hummer vehicles and travel through Boulder City, the tree-lined community built to house construction workers. The excursion crosses over Hoover Dam, a Depression Era project that forever changed life in the American Southwest. Dedicated in 1935, the Dam not only controlled the Colorado River’s rampaging floods, but also created Lake Mead, a 115-mile-long reservoir.

An expert driver/guide’s lively narration relates fun facts, dispels myths, and reveals the fascinating stories about the area’s native people, the explorers, and abundant wildlife. Included, too, are scenic wonders such as the 900-year-old Joshua Forest, which is unique to the desert location, and Coconino Plateau, a land of hiking trails and geographic contrasts.
Upon arrival at the Hualapai Indian Reservation on the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, tour takers will receive a complimentary barbecue lunch and have time to browse the popular destination.
Among the tour highlights is the Indian Village, which offers shopping, entertainment, and a museum-quality representation of several Plains Indian tribes.
Eagle and Guano points offer spectacular views and photo opportunities. Guano Point is also known for the costly, but unsuccessful, attempts 40 years ago to extract bat guano from a cave. Remnants of mining equipment still dangle over the gorge.
Visitors can opt  for a visit to Skywalk, a glass bridge extending 4,000 feet over the Canyon. The imaginative attraction, Grand Canyon’s latest addition, requires purchase of a separate pass.
