Sightseers can immerse themselves in the history and the scenic grandeur of the Southwest during a motorcoach tour to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. From the comfort of a luxury coach, this Grand Canyon bus tour passes through a land of remarkable contrasts--a desert with its own secrets of survival, rimmed by majestic mountains. Despite a desert climate, Nevada is a mountainous state with a series of ranges, all running North and South. During our sightseeing tours an expert guide/driver regales passengers with fascinating facts and stories of pioneer settlers, Indian wars, rugged mountain men, explorers, cowboys, early Spanish adventurers, and maybe tales of a horse thief or two.
During our sightseeing tours our guests will pass through the picturesque town of Boulder City, the community built by the federal government and the only town in Nevada where gambling is illegal. Before arriving at the first stop on the bypass bridge for a 15 min photo shoot of Hoover Dam, passengers will have an excellent vantage point of Lake Mead. At the Hoover Dam, there will be time to explore the structure, an amazing engineering and architectural marvel that has controlled the ravages of the Colorado River since its completion in 1935. At the Grand Canyon, the bus tour stops at Mather Point, the Canyon‘s most popular viewing area. From the Point nearly one-quarter of the Canyon is visible. At the Bright Angel Lodge, a National Historic Landmark, visitors can browse a gift shop. Built in 1935, the rustic structure has a history room containing a fireplace with an unusual geological arrangement that presents an excellent photo opportunity.
